Yachting Instruments came into being in 1970 when the present directors, then keen dinghy sailors, became increasingly frustrated with the lack of count-down race start watches. The first Sailing Chronograph was launched at the London Boat show in January 1971 and five years later at the international Boat Show, London, the first Tidemaster watch was launched. Ten years later at the end of 1985 the first Tidemaster Chronometer came into being.Over the thirty years the company have designed and produced a wealth of products of benefit to all who use the sea or go afloat.
